OOTD 219 :: SIDE OF GREEN

Hi! So much has happened this week. Fashion Week started and Joan Rivers isn't with us anymore. That's a lot to take in. We went out for a night with some friends downtown and took a few snaps. Nothing fancy, but I wanted to keep in touch. This post is a 'Side of Green' because I am feeling a bit beside myself with all of the recent events. I'm happy for SS 2015 and somber for the loss of Fashion Police and the River's family. Here is a look with a dress and bob asymmetrical - it's off to the side. Also, remembering 9/11 today, another thing to never forget. I ❤️ NY.

OOTD 218 :: CORAL BEACH

Hi! It's 90 degrees in NYC for the 5th time (only) this summer. Some friends and I can't help but soak up some rays. Truth be told, we usually go to the beach late in the afternoon to avoid the worst UV Rays. I know what you're thinking, tanning, really? I don't tan but I do enjoy the occasional warmth of the sun. Hi! Summer is the time when everyone is hitting the streets hard. If it's not one birthday, it's the next! Well this is one of the looks from my birthday and a favorite of mine. Made by one of my favorite fashion designers at BCBG-- this is quite unique for my wardrobe. I am starting to get into more asymmetric pieces. This dress in particular complements the asymmetric bob very well.

OOTD 215 :: SUMMER BABY

Hi! It's August and my favorite time of year because my birthday is in August. To celebrate, the next two posts are featuring looks from my birthday celebrations. I've said this before on my blog but I want to stress the importance of it again, tailor everything! Even if you think something fits well, get you local tailors second opinion on it. I do some of my tailoring on my own but I am known for turning things into shorter skirts or crop tops even if they aren't. The skirt in today's look is an example, it was longer and I shortened it.

Hi! Usually casual and white don't go together but if you are rocking the trendy white nail polish then you'll figure it out. Here is a cozy look that is punched up a bit with some bright summer colored lipstick. More summer lipstick colors to come - yesterday was National Lipstick Day. I never heard of it before, but bloggers love to make stuff up so I participated with a Chanel that I use on rare occasion.

OOTD 213 :: WHITE HOT

Hi! There are so many fun colors that I am exploring this summer mainly with lipstick but the best way to do it is with other monochromatic looks. Today, purple lips are my muse and this fun graffiti wall was a good backdrop to bring out the colors. I love a fun pop of color and I love white! Thanks for reading!

Hi! Today, I am fiercely trying to get into the Spring feeling. It's still chilly so I wanted to wear my up to the knee boots and make it a but more season appropriate with a skirt. The 'string' idea comes from the fine green stripes in my button down which I complemented with a stringy hair look. Hope you like it!
