Frugal Friday: Inexpensive Eyewear

Hi! By now you've noticed that I switch up my eyewear often. I go from eyeglasses to sunglasses, to contacts and no glasses and back to a different set of frames. Ok, here is how: 

1. Not all of my frames cost a lot. You can get inexpensive frames anywhere. I prefer to get mine from C. Wonder, they are approximately $30.00. 

2. I buy them and pop out the lenses for a few hours to see if I really like them.

3. If so, I take it to my local optometrist and he inserts my prescription lenses.

Weekly Favorite: Puppy - Luxe Alessandra

Hi! Today I am conducting some interviews and want to be a bit covered up so that I can stay warm in the room. Don't worry, I will spend my breaks deliberating outdoors to enjoy the sun. Anyway, here goes the outfit. It's a pretty casual work environment so I get away with whatever I want but it IS the big city so I opted for an 'Apple' accent.

OOTD 123 'GIRL ON THE RUN'

Hi! By now you are probably wondering what an outfit that I would 'throw together' would look like. Well, here it is. I'm not ashamed to say, I'm a jeans and shirt kind of girl. I have physical therapy today for something I'll tell you about in my Tech Tuesday post, hence the running around today. Rain is coming again this afternoon so prepare with a clothes toe shoe option. I featured one today for your viewing pleasure. Gotta go!

TECH TUESDAY: NIKE +

Hi! Last week something monumental happened for me - I realized that I had run 100 miles. I am not an avid runner, marathoner or even someone who did track successfully in grade school. That makes this a big deal! I also learned you should replace your sneakers every year. And lastly, I learned running outside is different than running in a treadmill. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way with a minor hip injury. Now, I run less but will post it on Nike+ when I do because if you 'like' it on Facebook I can hear you cheering me on, literally. So here is to my first 100 miles with Nike +, I couldn't have done it without them and my Lunar Light sneakers which I am retiring this week. Download Nike+ and let's be running buddies, as you know, I'm greenshareen.

And yes, my workout gear is all black, white & green- hence, the green lining on my socks.

OOTD 122 '24 K GOLDEN GIRL'

Hi! I've never been a yellow gold fan but this summer I've been inspired. I picked up some fun new baubles from BaubleBar and couldn't resist incorporating them into today's outfit. Hence the 'stack attack' happening on my wrist (pictured lower right). There is a bit of rain in the city this afternoon so feel free to substitute the flat alternative for something closed toe. I recommend gold ballet flats.
