Frugal Friday: JetBlue Getaways

Hi! Want to go here? Yes, don't we all! Notice how expensive vacations are? Between the flight, rental car, hotel, eating, entertainment- it adds up fast. Well, here is a way to save. Sometimes, when a flight is really expensive, I check JetBlue.com/getaways. It's not all inclusive but sometimes it is. For the most part, they combine flight and hotel. What I find is its cheaper than getting the flight alone! You don't have to stay there, stay wherever you want and save. Try it. Do a quick search to fly round trip to Vegas. Then do a 'getaway' with the cheapest hotel possible and you'll see what I mean.

Weekly Favorite: Passport Stamps

Hi! Yes, one of my favorite things are stamps in my passport. They give me a sense of accomplishment. Did you know that every time you see something new or different your soul prospers? It's true. So here is my latest: 

That says 'Bon Bini Na' which means 'Welcome' in Papimiento (native language in Aruba.) My passport was officially full of stamps two months ago and I was happy but also sad that I have to start all over again. Then, I found this cute DIY on thenest.com. You can frame pages from your passport on wooden blocks and present them in your home. Luckily I just renewed so I can chop up my old one and I did pay for additional pages in this new passport.

OOTD 143 'WELCOME HOME'

Hi! I'm back from my little vacation. That was fun. My favorite part at the end of vacation is when the customs officer looks up after stamping my passport and says 'Welcome Home'. Notice how some of them forget that part? I always ask them to say it. This time I had the nicest customs officer ever and even he forgot but I forgive him because he was a sweetheart and I got him smiling a bit. He was the first polite customs officer I have ever met. Thanks for welcoming me home, Officer Rodriguez.

Frugal Friday: M•A•C Sale

Hi! You know how there are some things that NEVER go on sale? Well Cosmetics are usually one of those things. *Nail polish is a fun way to keep your vacation look complete. I am NOT into chipped polish and this is super easy to travel with. Here's what I do: I start the trip with a light color like Chanel 'Distraction' or Essie 'Come Here' then 2 days in I paint over with another color like Essie 'More the Merrier' and towards the end when that is chipping, top it with glitter! For this trip, I opted for Julep 'Gold glitter'. Then when I get home, I have my manicurist take it off! :)

OOTD 140 'JET SET'

Hi! I'm headed out for a little vacation this week so here's a travel friendly look. Another option is black stretch pants with the tee. Also, travel tip* keep your belt in your purse along with a pair of socks to wear through security so that you don't have to step on the icky floor. I also take a cardi-wrap for the plane. Fashionable and cozy.
