Hi! Prince sang, 'If I gave you diamonds and pearls' and today I'm giving you Chambray and pearls and that song is STUCK in my head. I'm attempting an 'All American' theme this week as we draw closer to 4th of July so I'll stick to things made in the USA as much as possible, like M. Obama does.

OOTD 112 'LOVE & HIP HOP'

Hi! It's humid but that's no surprise. It's also raining in the city for the next 7 days. How do you pick outfit choices to withstand the elements? Come and get your daily dose.

It's Friday, so we will start of the weekend with the Nike Sky Dunk Wedges (NY) Fashion Week edition. From the ground up we are embracing comfort with VS Pink striped, sequined & crystallized leggings, Express bra tank (which we love!), Express hoodie (a hip hop style necessity), Silver Chain bought by the inch on Carnival Cruise Lines, bracelets are Express, Guess watch, Dior butterfly ring, Rhinestone studded oversized hoops by Express (not shown), MK bag, D&G sunglasses (not shown).

Bonus: 'A ROYAL WEDDING'

Hi! Sometimes I change in the middle of the day. Today is one of those days. We are headed to a wedding. Here are my fashion rules for weddings:

1| REFRAIN from wearing the wedding colors. (It makes you look like a bridesmaid that wasn't picked, tacky) 

2| White is ok IF you have other colors mixed in or color blocked.

3| Black is chic, not insulting.

4| If its a garden wedding, no satin heels.

5| No all red, it's not your day. We shouldn't be able to spot you from across the room.

Today's wedding is blue & red themed. I'm wearing a royal purple dress from H&M. Patent leather pumps from Prada, Necklace & Bracelet from Arden B. Onyx studs from Tiffany & Co. Gunmetal Watch: MK, Purse & cocktail ring: vintage, from abuela (grandmother). Eyewear: Chanel, On lips: Lorac 3D from Sephora.

OOTD 111 'STROKE OF SHEER GENIUS'

Hi! Today brings another sticky, hot, and then rainy day. To pull this off wear a sheer shirt. The title is inspired from the tube top with artistic brushstrokes. Also, today' s flat alternatives are my weekly favorite. Read the previous post to see why.

Weekly favorite: Reflective shoes

Hi! I know this sounds weird but everyone loves these and everyone loved when MJ rocked it. These are Cole Haan Argento Reflecto Oxfords.

Hi! What do you do with a hot day and rainy afternoon? Rock a headband and comfy loafers. Tip: Nylon bags are great for rainy days because the water drips right off. And yes, I have a green umbrella but, its not the right shade so I'm sticking with my black one for today.

Hi! It's hot out there and above 80 degrees is shorts mandatory weather, above 85 means we are wearing something sheer that breathes.
